I live in Australia and have been receiving the Maltese pension for the last four years, yet payments have stopped for the last three months, and was wondering why.
You need to contact the Social Services Department for clarification.
I would like to know what my pension will be when I am 61 years old.
I was born in January 1961
You could apply for a tentative retirement pension assessment on this online form.
Ivan, you may try the Retirement Pension Calculator on the button on this page.
In the box, “Enter your total income for the best number years in the last number of years prior to your retirement. The amount must be gross and excluding bonuses and other allowances. (€)“, enter the total of the best number of years you have already and which you expect to earn up to retirement.
In your case retirement age is 64.
Other conditions prevail to arrive at your anticipated pension.
Since my retirement age is 63, if I continue working ‘additional’ years till 65 can these 2 years be added to my entitlement since I do not have 35yrs of contributions?
In theory the extra two years should entitle you to an extra pension top-up, yet you should contact the social security department and get an official prediction.
